James is a
freshman at Virginia Tech. He has an elder sister, Lucy, who is an engineer at
Washington. D.C. He loves sports. This semester he began rowing with VT Crew
and played badminton every Friday night. His favorite food is steak and Kimchi,
which used to made by his mom. He has never cooked before and knows nothing
about buying fresh food. By eating fast food for a whole month, he is trying to
learn how to cook steak, which is cheaper and healthier than in the restaurant.
James prefers to buy meat at the farmer's market and VT meat center. Compare to
the grocery store, the steak sold in there is more juicy and fresh.

Hi Yingying, I like where your going here - this story really helps us to empathise with the user you may be designing for. Things to consider for our discussion tomorrow:
ReplyDeleteWhat is the problem you are trying to solve for James? Is it:
James needs to understand the various cuts of meat available for purchase at the store, farmer's market, and VT's meat center, the nutritional value of each cut, and how to combine selecting quality/healthy cuts and cost-effectiveness to his shopping practices.

We'll talk about it tomorrow.
